Our approach to procurements and our supply chain

Parts Town UK work in partnership with the leading Original Equipment Manufacturers in the industry which reduces the risk of compromise in our supply chain. Where suppliers do not support a Modern Slavery statement, our purchasing department will conduct a risk assessment to determine which parts of our supply chain are most at risk from modern slavery, so effort can be focused in this area.

Additional steps taken:

  • Review our policy and risk to compliance on an annual basis
  • Engage with our supply chain to convey our policy and to understand the measure they have introduced to ensure modern slavery is not occurring in their supply chain
  • Challenge any abnormally low-cost parts to ensure they do not rely upon the potential manufacturer/supplier practising modern slavery
  • Conduct a Supplier Evaluation for all new suppliers
  • If issues are identified, work with suppliers to prepare a corrective action plan to resolve any violation
  • Annual ethical training and certification to CIPS. Modern Slavery awareness information and advice for all staff in the procurement team
