Gurchan's Quest to Inspire Future Leaders

31 May 2017

A fundraising swim aims to boost a charity foundation established to nurture young people into leaders of the future.

Gurchan Sandhu, Customer Sales Advisor with First Choice Group, is helping to co-ordinate the event which takes place at The Royal School Wolverhampton on Saturday June 17.

Gurchan’s cousin, Ajvir Sandhu, was an RAF Fast Jet Trainee pilot. The 25-year-old tragically died after his plane crashed during a training exercise in April last year. The Ajvir Singh Sandhu Leadership Foundation was launched in his memory.

“The Foundation recognises passion, commitment and an outstanding dedication to chosen disciplines among young people aged from 11 to 25,” said Gurchan.

“It has been established to support individuals to progress in their respective fields and encourage and reward those who display the skills and qualities which mark out successful leaders.

“The Foundation is dedicated to supporting young people achieve their dreams through a combination of financial aids, accolades and access to a large support network.

“We want the talented young people of today to become the leaders of tomorrow, we want them to spread their wings and fly as high as Ajvir did.”

A Just Giving page has been set up for those who wish to support the charity swim and donate to the foundation.
