Power List

With the British foodservice market now worth an estimated £50bn a year, the individuals responsible for designing, installing and servicing commercial kitchens up and down the country are intrinsic to the success of the industry.

To recognise this, Catering Insight have announced the launch of its inaugural ‘Power List’ – a rundown of the biggest movers and shakers from within the catering equipment dealer and distributor community.

Published in the July edition this special guide will honour 50 of the market’s most deserved individuals and pay tribute to their achievements from the past 12 months.

From the executives behind the most influential kitchen houses to the rising stars making their mark in the industry, the Power List is set to be the ultimate record of the people helping to make the dealer and distributor market tick.

The Power List will be split into the following categories:

- Industry innovators
- Business leaders
- Project pioneers
- Young trailblazers
- Unsung heroes

This year First Choice have chosen to sponsor the ‘Unsung Heroes’ category, to recognise the importance of every employee no matter what their role. Staff members who work tirelessly behind the scenes and who maintain the day to day operations and reputation of many of the industries’ biggest players are the people who will be recognised in this category.

Manufacturers, suppliers and wholesalers were invited to nominate individuals from the dealer and distributor community that they believe deserve to be considered for inclusion. Alongside distributors/dealers who could nominate individuals from within their own businesses.

It’s so important that the companies in the foodservice industry remain supportive of one another and adapt to meet the demand of the ever successful £50bn UK market. First Choice are looking forward to the announcement of each category winner and we would like to wish the best of luck to all who were entered into the list.
