First Choice Group has been praised for embracing technology on the eve of a prestigious national awards ceremony that recognises and rewards innovation.

The futuristic automated storage system employed in our new 90,000 square-foot Parts Automation Centre has been shortlisted in both the Warehouse Efficiency and New Facility categories at the 2017 Logistics Awards.

Installed by Industore, the application boosts efficiency by enabling our warehouse staff to easily retrieve items from more than 420,000 spare parts, consumables, tools and accessories which are kept in storage.

Ross Powell, Managing Director of Industore, said: “Those who have not yet embraced the overwhelming advantages of automation are being left behind.

“First Choice Group is setting the example. Apart from their progressive management, the undoubted driver for their continued success is an impressive automated storage and retrieval system which has revolutionised the company’s business model.

“Total control, speed, economy of picks and formerly unattainable accuracy levels provide for complete customer satisfaction. First Choice Group has enthusiastically embraced this technology and its growth is testament to its ambition.”

First Choice Group Managing Director, John Whitehouse, said: “This automated solution provides us with a platform that allows the business to be more efficient. It combines the quality and reliability we need to continue to grow and excel for many years to come.”

The awards ceremony, held to celebrate operational excellence, takes place at London’s Grange St. Paul’s Hotel on Thursday 21st September.
