Customer Service Clare's Charity Chills

First Choice Group’s new Customer Services Manager will be at Moel Famau on November 19 to take part in Boxers and Bikinis, a fundraising trek along one of Wales’s most exposed hillsides.

Established last year to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Relief, charitable Clare says the 562-metre walk is a challenge worth taking.

“My friend Alex Egan established the event last year and it raised such an amount of money that Macmillan actually approached her for it to continue as a fundraiser for them,” she said.

“Although I’m expecting it to be mighty cold I am sure it will be very good fun. At the end of the day we’re raising money to help and support Macmillan in their caring for people, making sure that no-one faces cancer alone and that cancer sufferers, their family and friends are looked after. That’s all the motivation I need.”

“I know people whose lives have been devastated by the illness so I hope taking part in Boxers and Bikinis will help raise awareness of the great work Macmillan does. While I intend to have as much fun as possible there is a serious side to the event and I hope I can raise as much money as possible. I am very grateful to everyone who is sponsoring me.”

Clare has set up her own Just Giving fundraising page for people who would like to support her and contribute.
