Combico UK will take centre stage during this year’s Catering Equipment Industry Technical Conference to put training in the spotlight.

Martin Dagnall, Technical Training Manager for First Choice Group’s lauded training division, will address delegates on some of the issues facing engineers working in commercial catering. He will also co-host a series of special workshops being held to inform and educate on matters of recruitment and legislation.

The event, which takes place tomorrow (Wednesday) at Nottingham’s Belfry Hotel, is expected to draw more than 100 visitors, representing the great and the good of the UK’s foodservice industry. Jointly organised by CEDA and CESA, the industry’s two trade associations, the conference is a renowned networking opportunity.

“I will be speaking about the range of training courses available with Combico UK, the specific offerings we can provide and look at how training is evolving to keep up with ever changing regulations,” said Martin.
“At the 2016 conference we discussed the possibility of creating an electrical competency course to help raise awareness of the risks engineers can sometimes face and educate them with the skills and knowledge needed to overcome potential dangers.
“We launched the Commercial Catering Equipment Electrical Competency Course earlier this year and the feedback has been very positive. This is an example of the pro-active, bespoke training that Combico UK intends to grow even further.”

With that in mind Martin will be outlining Combico UK plans to launch F-gas training in the near future and managed learning programs designed to teach and nurture new entries - working with gas - into the catering industry.

First Choice Group’s Commercial Manager, John Scott, who is also a Director of CEDA, will also be attending the conference as will the company’s Refrigeration Development Manager, Steve James, who will be conducting one-to-one surgeries to instruct people on the latest developments around refrigeration.
